With great regret I have to say that after today's performances and the comments made after, it is time for the club to look at someone else from Pardew. It's been a really enjoyable journey but after the amount of investment over the summer we can't justify the performances this season.

Getting to the FA cup final still sounds like a dream but we did it with Pardew. Something I'll never forget. When that goal went in, I thought we were about to be champions but hold no grudge that we couldn't cross the line.

This season started badly, we recovered but have now slump pedal even lower than we have done this year. It's been a bad 2016 and no matter what, our annual form won't look like we can stay in the league. It is time to move on and find someone who is the next step up from Al, even despite how much I had wanted him to take charge of us when Pulis and Co took over, we have reached our limit with him. He isn't a top half manager and that's what we need when we are spending over 50 mil during the summer.

Thanks for everything Alan, it's been our best period in our history. We now need to move forward.

Totally agree, question is who do we get in to replace him? Mancini would probably be my first choice from whats available. I've been really loyal to Pardew but he just never takes any responsibility and has really run out of excuses. We have ourselves a decent squad and should be a lot more consistent considering the amount we have spent over the summer. Pardew is far from consistent the stats speak for themselves. 16 games without a clean sheet and 5 wins in 34 games is simply not good enough.

After reading that rubbish i can only conclude that you haven't been a fan very long.
Pardews time to go was straight after the FA Cup fina, it was only the cup run that kept him in a job.

It hasn't been the best period in our history. We were in the top flight for four years in 1989-1993 during which time we beat Man U, Liverpool, Spurs etc, finished third, won the ZDS and reached the FA Cup final.

So we go on blindly following him because it's the 'right thing to do'? Not for me, not any more. As far as I'm concerned Pardew has had his chance and blown it. Keeping him as manager just because there's no one suitable out there isn't a reason to keep him on, he's lurching from one poor run to another. There's no doubt he's improved our squad but he's also brought some utterly s***e players.

He needs to go, we need to move forward and he isn't the man to take us forward, you can slate me, disagree with me all you want, enough is enough, he needs to go. Thanks al but do one.

You're a busted flush.

I'm a Pardew fan, maybe one of the few left after today but I just can't see the board bring happy with the record so far with the amount we spent

If you look at the Everton forums following their thumping at Chelsea you will see some of their fans are calling to get rid of their manager if he does not turn the team around. They say his tactics and team selection are causing the poor results.
I except as a fan we want to win every , or almost every game but I is just not possible for even the the top most funded clubs.
The club has stated we want to change our style from defend and then counter. We are going through the process to be a more proactive attacking team. This does not happen overnight and we will have to take some steps backwards to move forwards.
It is far too early to say it is not working. Individual errors only highlites the lack of quality in the individual not the failure of the style. The matches we have seen this season have been incredibly entertaining and I would sooner watch this type of game than the boreing Pulis style.
The players and the manager need to be given time to develope the new style and to find out which players do not suit it and need to be replaced. January transfer window will show who needs replacing and after that if we are still not achieving results then we can start talking about getting rid of the manager but until then we just need to keep developing and adapting our play , and at the same time picking up points to keep us above the relegation area.
Keep the faith for a bit longer before calling for heads to roll !

I rarely post, but have supported Palace for years.

One thing I do know is when something is broken, it needs to be fixed. Not sure what is going on behind the scenes, but something is not right.

I guess the question is how many times already this season have we been unlucky to lose ...and how crucial those points will be come the end of the season.

Pardew has/is giving it his best shot, but honestly...the time has come to make some changes....however difficult that may be.

Going down one division is simply not part of the long term plan.....we avoided being closed by minutes, so certainly can't allow another catastrophe to happen.
