Following some of the doom and gloom after the last 3 games, I have written a post looking at the Leicester and Liverpool games; and how we are shaping up after 10 games when you look at the numbers behind our performances. Spoiler alert - I don't think it's time to panic! Please check it out if you fancy a read, any comments welcome. I'll be doing a preview post on Burnley later this week too so keep an eye out for that. Cheers

I don't know about panick but we badly need to win against Burnley or at least get a point. IF Burnley win they go above us in the table. West Brom are away to Leicester but the latter have a Champions League fixture tonight and may well be feeling the aftereffects of 3 games in 8 days. West Brom could well snatch all 3 points. West Ham are at hame to Stoke - the way thry are playing now could well earn them 3 points IF tbese eults all go against us we are down to 17th. and with a tough schedule over the Xmas period its imperative that we beat Burnley and Swansea.
Keep our fingers crossed

I learned the other day that puncheon is apparently a type of extra strong rum from Trinidad. Seems another argument for including Puncheon in the starting line up.

I believe that if we lose to Burnley, which of course will be our 4th consecutive defeat, it will be "Squeaky Bum" time with supporters reflecting on the results in the second half of last season. It is vital that we get something from the game.

Thanks Willo. Did you read the article? What I'm trying to encourage people to get away from is looking solely at the results. If we play very well against Burnley but Heaton has another miracle game and they nick a goal, it shouldn't be meltdown on here (although it will be), as the performances are strong and the results will come. But at the end of the day results are the thing that matters, so even if we are playing well and Pardew takes us on another winless run, then he may well get the bullet.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Yes I can - but as fans and hopefully as a Board we should be more positive if we are playing well, as because points are more likely to follow good performances than bad ones. If you are getting battered week in week out, but somehow picking up points, then sooner or later your luck will run out and results will turn. You've just got to hope that our luck turns for Pardew before he's gone too long without a win.

Good read and about the way I saw the last two games. The defending can not be brushed aside because we were playing good teams even average/poor teams like WBA Boro and Sunderland scored. Keeping clean sheets is a must if we are to win games. Turning your back on shots or not putting your body in the way of them stopping crosses all are basic defending and we are not doing that well enough is it poor coaching? have the players lost faith in the manager? I hope not. Burnley will be a test of our fighting spirit if we match them in that our quality may win us the game.
