Willo thinks the sun shines out of his rectum, if he is the best we got then we are in trouble, he loves the limelight hope we give him a very hot welcome when next he visits selhurst.

It was obvious why he did it so it looks as if he's impartial the next time there will get something it's all square now in his mindset.

That article barely gave Palace a mention - yet we are Clattenburg's biggest victim (and his misdemeanours against us go back to August 2004 his first premiership game when we were home to Everton losing 1-3). Since then he has refereed loads of our games and never fails to apply the laws incorrectly and has cost us numerous league points and an FA Cup victory.

His time in the limelight is running out - bigger clubs are beginning to notice his errors and the Media's attention to his "mistakes" are becoming more vocal and damning.

Quite frankly his performance yesterday was disgraceful... you could be forgiven for thinking he had Arsenal down as a banker home win in an acca with Ladbrokes!

Arsenal's first goal should not have stood... blatant hand ball by Sanchez.

Then Clattenburg decided to give Gibbs a yellow card instead of an expected/deserved red for a dreadful foul that prevented Hull scoring.

He then added insult to injury by giving Hull's Clucas a red card for handball late on.

Hopefully Clattenburg will realise the game is up and fcuk off to China.

1. The ball hit Sanchez's hand he didn't deliberately handle the ball.Clattenburg clearly never got a good view (There were players in his way) but he probably took heed of the appeal by Hull's players and consulted the Assistant.Clattenburg actually apologised to Hull afterwards - there are those on here who have been advocating that referees should have the courage to do so.

Advancing this argument, if the ball hit Sanchez in such manner (Blasted at him from close range) outside the box would the referee have given a foul ? Not likely due to the distance being taken into consideration. And if a ball had been hit at a defender in the area in similar circumstances would a penalty have been awarded ? Clearly not.

2. In the Gibbs incident look where the ball ended up after the challenge. It looked for all the world that Gibbs got to the ball and headed it , making a genuine attempt to do so but at the same time committed a foul.So no cynical attempt to stop a man through on goal.

I shall be discussing this with a top referee later today.

I could go on and on but this would only evolve into yet another wearisome WILLO thread so this is my last post on this thread. Sorry to disappoint a lot of you !

If he felt he had not made a mistake do you honestly believe he would have apologised!! I know I am safe from a ridiculous defence as you are not making any more comment on the matter.
How many more times are the authorities going to allow him to apologise for mistakes, without taking action.

I do not know why you even bothered to comment on this episode in the first place. We no exactly whose ar*e you covert every possible time.

You just trot out the same defensive drivel of MC no matter what he has done yet you are the only one on his side of the fence and even he changed his mind afterwards!

Also if you are discussing this with a top ref today name him! Quote him and tell us who it is?

Clattenburg’s ‘apology’ reminded me of Snodgrass’ after Hull’s game with Palace last December. Both seemed rather disingenuous and were of course completely futile as the damage had already been done.

With the plight Palace are in at the moment though, we need the clubs around us to drop as many points as possible so should maybe be grateful for yesterday’s injustices. Had a more competent or less biased official been in charge, Hull might have been a point or three further ahead of Palace by now and a little bit closer to safety.

Every little helps!

I have no strong feelings either way about this referee, but I'm puzzled as to why he apologised if he'd done nothing wrong. I know you've said, Mr W, that you won't be taking any further part in this thread, but I think you've said that before and then thought better of it. So do you think he was correct or incorrect to apologise for doing nothing wrong?
