Anyone think he should be dropped. Hasn't played too well for a long time at left back and is subbed off every game which is a tad strange for a left back. Very limited in attack and has been ripped apart in the last few games. Surely fryers is a better option.

That's exactly what I think off! Fryers seems a better option right now. Neverthless in January transfer window the squad needs to be balance. Even Ward isn't in the best shape.

Whilst not the best, Kelly is better defensively than Fryers. We've had worse and I don't think Souare is that much better anyway - he doesn't get too many decent crosses away. I think Kelly's crossing is better than Souare's.

Fryers has been brought on for his pace in attack when we have been chasing games.

I don't think Fryers would have got on the pitch at all if we'd have been winning.

I'd worry if he started over Kelly.

But I'd love to be proven wrong.

All due respect to Kelly but I believe Souare is being sorely missed.
We miss his energy and pace, and he can knock in a mean cross.I just hope when he has recovered that he still retains his athleticism ,because there are not many quicker players than him.

Are you absolutely off your head? Souare is possibly the best crosser of a ball at the club!

Kelly is so slow, gets caught out, the list of negatives is endless. Wilf has had to work his socks off covering for him the past few games.

Whilst on the face of it it's easy to say Fryers is ''an attacking full back'' he hasn't yet been given a chance to prove his defensive qualities-now is the time to be given a run imo.

We need a new left back in January though, no question.

I think it is slightly unfair to criticise him, considering he is playing out of position. He is really a right back or centre back. He has in the main been solid

I must have been watching different games then. I don't see them all, it's true and there have been one or two good crosses since he joined but the number of times he over-hits them is very disappointing to me.

It's funny how different supporters can see the same thing but interpret it differently.

Bring back Eddie McGoldrick!

you mean salako...he didn't even have to take on his man. he was like Beckham. .used to sometimes swing one in from half way line.

Eddie was good too but was like Peter Beagrie...kept running forwards and backwards taking players on. Good to watch but a strikers nightmare.

still...he was miles better than Phil barber who often got the nod...oddly

Yes, not good enough. Always looks terrified on the ball and wouldn't trust him if my life depended on it. Soz Kel.

Soaure by a distance is a far better crosser, would of been quite a threat now we have benteke.

Yes he is filling-in at left-back which of course is not his strongest position.I think centre-half is his preferred position although some might say he is really a right-back.
