It is great to see that he wants to build a legacy at Palace. Unfortunately in the past mainly due to previous owners and financial circumstances we have failed to do so, but we are becoming established Premier club. The younger generation prior to our promotion under Holloway in 2013, had only seen us struggle and plunged into administration twice, and don't understand that potentially this is a big club. We had the 8th best support in the top flight in 1979 when Venables and his 'team of the 80's' were hitting the heights. We are not Millwall!!!! Far from it!!!!! Now someone wants to take us on that journey we were stopped from completing countless times, and the difference is we now have the huge TV money coupled with the financial clout of our American owners to achieve it

The next decade could be Bournemouth, Burton or Palace un terms of achievement. Spurs are up there but look at what they spent trying to get there. We can write our own chapter and say this last 3-5 years kick started us to something great and all it took was a lil chat in sainsbury's car park.

Looking outside of the premier league i think Dundalk have become one of those teams that have achieved the most in a short period of time.

And I for one didn't realise that Pardew was managering Southapton at the beginning of their revival.

He mentions the signings of Lambert, Hammond,Fonte, Puncheon. In that first season he also signed Antonio on Loan from Reading. His Asst Manager was Dean Wilkins and coach Wally Downes. Pardew took over a side that had been relegated out of the Championship and in his first season took them to 7th in Div 1, winning 8 of their last 11 league games. Don't like the bit about Mandanda forcing teammates to play from the back even if they're not happy to receive the ball. The reason we're pressed so easily at home is that any opposition manager can see that we like to mess around in our third but don't have the players to do it IMO.

Cannot wait . ..sadly liverpool are not the same and we have achieved so much against them due to our calamity pace, we are now more level headed and teams can at last predict what we are doing during games and understand where to stop us, no Bolasie and no Gayle and no confusing runs to other anonymous strikers liverpool could not cope! ....they will have more chance now.
