Rumours on the BBS that Remy is back training with us and could be available when we play West Ham on 15th October. Has anyone got any reliable info on this?

Unfortunately it looks like it is for headshots rather than training or that's what twitter states. But fingers crossed!

Seeing the start weve made I bet he cant wait to get involved on the training ground let alone in games. A winning Palace squad is always going to be a great place to do your work and he knows he has to raise his game to earn his place so it bodes well providing he stays injury free.Very good business getting him on loan so we can "try before we buy" with regard to his injury history, and the reported £12 million fee tied into the loan deal could prove very shrewd if it is indeed true.

Not sure where he fits as we are doing so well. McCarthur and Ledley sweep up for us and Cabaye can replace Ledley when we need more than just sweeping up in midfield. Puncheon is having a great run just behind the striker and even if he falls out of form this isn't Remy's position so he's more likely to lose it to Lee than Remy. Townsend is irreplaceable and so is Benteke. I could see playing a less traditional right winger in Remy who comes inside a lot and narrows the play so would mean a lot more running for Joel Ward. He can certainly be more effective than Zaha when he's on one of his off days though. He's either our best player or non-existent.

He gives us a different option and that's what you need if you want to compete in the top ten of the PL.Puncheon will dip sooner or later as will most of the team over a season, its why top teams have deeper squads and rotate. As good as Punch is I would still really like to see Remy play in an advanced 10 role running past Benteke when we play flatter aerial balls from deeper positions. If he is as good in the air as we all think and they hit it off its a frightening scenario for any defence especially when we already have such pace out wide.At the moment our strength is getting wide and whipping the ball in or playing into Benteke to hold the ball up,imagine if we had someone who could go past him off a flick on and time it right. Its the easiest way of beating a back four if you get it right,Wright and Bright were masters of it and there is no reason why Benteke and Remy cant achieve the same status of those 2 at the club imo.

Benteke can't play 90 minutes for the next 30 games plus FA Cup and I want to have another run in that if we can, plus go off on Belgium duty. Remy is better than Wickham so we definitely need him.

Errrr I thought it quite obvious I was implying we definitely need him lol my point was he is a different type of player to Beneteke and also Wickham since you mention him.Remy is about pace he is not a target man in the sense of the other two and while he has the quality to play as a lone striker it would mean changing the way we play to a large extent should he have to play that role.
