I am a life long palace fan and was given 2 tickets to the match on Saturday by a friend and I am taking my Dad. The tickets are under my mates name and it says Photo ID required. Does this mean I need my friends ID and thus cannot go without him or is it a new policy that you have to show ID on the gate like at some nightclubs?
The Queen supports Crystal Palace. Perhaps she'll buy the club then legitimately all the money in England shall be ours. Plus all the swans. |

You'd be best phoning the club, tell them the story and see what they say.

In all my years of going and buying junior/18-21 (I'm 21 FYI) tickets, not once have I ever been ID'd. I'd assume it'd be less likely given they don't have people on the turnstiles anymore; it's more like some scanner thing.

it's probably just a league rule that everyone should be seen to be accounted for at a football match... in practice I don't think anyone has ever been asked for ID at a football match unless they were doing something naughty

I sometimes take the missus on my lad's ticket which is for under 22. She never gets asked.

The gates are now electronic so all you do is scan the card/bar code and they open automatically. So definitely no ID etc needed.

I think the fact you can order more then one ticket per membership clearly implies there is no system in place where tickets are "named". If you push it with a concession I can imagine there might be issues, otherwise no probs and enjoy the game be Originally posted by horrorshow
