As an Irish based season tkt holder,we'll have seen a lot of McCarthy over the last few seasons and let me tell you...we don't rate him ! Has consistently failed to live up to his reputation in last couple of years. Doesn't command the midfield like a proper CM should and rarely plays anything other that laterally and backwards. Hugely over rated and when I say that Jeff Hendrick totally outshone him at the Euros ( yes,the Derby guy !) that tells you all u need to know..stay clear!
