Might be out in the wilderness at Southampton now that Koeman has gone to Everton. would love to see him at Selhurst as it seems unlikly we'll get Benteke. very good goalscorer,could do worse.

We need to do something that's for sure. It doesn't look likely that Berahino or Benteke will be joining us so you have to wonder what other names are being mentioned behind closed doors. Austin would be good, Danny Ings would as well. Don't really understand why we didn't go in for Ross McCormack.

The McCormack one is strange - seems like he scores bags of goals in the championship yet no one in the prem seems interested - I'm no expert so there must be a valid reason for it that I just don't see that makes people think he cant make that step up. I cant see Austin moving even without Koeman being there, tailor made to replace Pelle - that said, I'd take him in a shot.

Ings missed most of last season due to injury. As for McCormack, A.Villa have just paid £12 Mill for someone who is either 30 or approaching 30. I have been speaking to a Fulham supporter who knows his football and is a good judge of a player.He feels that McCormack is good at Championship level but questions whether he is good enough for PL. just seen your post and thought I dont remember posting then realised that we both have the same user name albeit spelling them differently have sent you a friend request. I agree that the two B's seem to be dead in the water hope that SP can rescue one of them.Think that Austin would be better than what we have at present.

The way things are going I wouldn't be cutting my wrists if we put in a bid (subject to the most rigorous medical we've ever undertaken), but I haven't even heard the faintest whisper of any interest by us. Perhaps this is one for 10.59 pm on 31 August?

Actually starting with Wickham and having a couple of back up strikers of decent quality wouldn't have seen so terrible if it wasn't for that. Almost anyone who comes in is going to now seem like an anticlimax
