With the prices being touted around for the likes of sakho,berahino and benteke. The only viable option is to look into the foreign market. I personally think Slimani would be available for around 25m or even dzeko from roma has prem exeprience at 18m. They both suit our style and both have a goalscorerING pedigree.

both good suggestions, both playing Champions league football however. Doubt they'd swap that for a mid table battle - plus Roma and Sporting arent exactly poor. Slimani more likely but I believe a move for him is dead in the water after [even] Leicester couldn't seal one!

Definitely agree. Also target men strikers like Babacar or Haller. Definitely not Berahino. Hopefully we are playing a clever game of shadow boxing, keeping the opposition distracted fighting of a 'bid' for Berahino whilst secretly doing a couple of deals in europe!

Sky sports news transfer centre quoting "Prem clubs want Slimani"

No mention of who but that he may feel it's time to move on from Sporting. I'd like this one to happen...
