As an LB/CB who has represented England at all the youth levels he clearly has a lot of promise. I suspect that Palace would prefer someone like Santon who has some direct PL experience. Zekki Fryers was in a similar 'promising young player' category and as we know still hasnt broken through yet into the first team squad. If the fee isnt too much, maybe worth a place to boost the development squad?

I quite like him and McNair the only concerns with Blackett is he can be a bit rash and dive in. But I'd take him young athletic English.
