Apparently currently being offered to Middlesbrough.. Easy to forget before a big injury and a couple of seasons not really as the main guy, he used to be considered the best centre forward in the world by many... Why not?

Because he earns about £300,000 a week? At Chelsea he was earning 140k a week so that's just untrue.. Still massive but must expect a cut if he were to go to a smaller team and if we want to push on and attract real quality, inevitably our wage bill is going to increase

Why not?[/quote] Have you been on the Stellas. No but I remember actually watching the guy play at Atletico and he was quite simply outstanding.. Think it's hard to say he can't play in the prem where he wasn't really given a run out at either United or Chelsea, would be a marquee signing for a club of our size... My point is if Boro can get him isn't he worth a look?

That knee injury has wrecked his career. Not the first player for it to happen to, nor will he be the last. Shame, because he was truly world class before that.
