How does a gold membership work out as value
You have to pay 55 sobs for the thing and for that you get 200 loyalty points and are able to buy tickets 1 day before silver members
Whooopeeeeeeeeeee

You are better off buying a season ticket and getting 500 points then selling off your seat to most of the games and then going to the rest for nothing.

Just seems like a load of gonads if you ask me.

I expect a few season ticket holders on here have already worked that at one out though

What do you want to get for a gold membership. I only get 500 points for paying almost £600 for a season ticket, so 200 points the ability to buy tickets after season ticket holders seems a good deal for me. Guess it depends how many games you want to go to, and if you want to go through the hassle of buying a seafon ticket and selling the games you don't want to go to. Your choice, but I don't see how gold membership is a bad deal.

Kev i dont want anything from a gold membership as what I am saying is that its not good value for 55 sobs
Forget the points because unless you are in with the top points holders they are really worth Squat
All the points do is give you the ability to buy to away tickets at the arse chelsea etc
And first choice to buy 1 wembley cup final ticket
So 200 points is going to get you bugger all.

i have a silver membership which you dont get any points for but you get points for every ticket you buy.
Baring in mind if you want a chelsea or other so called big side ticket at home games you have to buy a ticket for another so called small game.

Your season ticket is good value where as a gold membership is not
Work out the cost of how much each game costs if you pay to go to individualy and then add them together and then add your 55 on top of that and you will see that the price is quite a bit more than a season ticket.

Cant see there ever be a problem of selling off the games you dont or cant go to as I often sit next to plenty of tourists taking selfies at games and are there just to watch a game of premier league football.
Pretty sure they got their tickets from some of our fans or did they all pay another 55 each on top.

Kev you say it depends on how many games you want to go to
well if thats the case buy a silver membership and save yourself 30 over a gold one.

all clubs are cashing in on this membership payment thing making you think you are getting something out of it while in fact you are not.
its just another way of clubs getting in extra monney

How exactly though do you sell your seat on for each game and keep getting your ticket back (given it doesn't come as paper tickets). I might be naïve in the ways of the tout here?

In terms of getting good value, the season ticket has always been good at Palace.

Where as membership, is only really 'good value' if you can only make a few games over the season, and aren't interested in becoming a tout. Although silver membership pretty much makes more sense.

I believe you can get paper tickets game by game, I sometimes buy them on here from people that can't use their ticket for specific games. Doesn't the club also have a process where you can give back your ticket for onward sale?

Thats what I am saying mate
Gold membership is not worth having compared to silver and the only reason for membership is money making for the club in that unless you are a member you cant buy a ticket from the club
But that does not stop you buying tickets from people on here and on bbs and no need to have paid out to be a member.

You also get 10% off in the club shop. So, if you are of a mind to buy say, a load of stuff at Xmas it may pay off.

I was talking about the Gold Membership and feel for £55 that's pretty fair.

It's helped buying it for me as I have a cup final ticket.

Small price to pay I'd say.
