Actually wouldn't be a bad signing looked quality for Roma just hasn't got going in England. Bearing in mind Sunderland have been poo for the entire time he played for them and most of his Liverpool appearances have been off the bench. At 24 if we could get him going with a loan deal to viewing a permanent transfer we would be laughing. Certainly better long term than any other targets mentioned by AP. Fits the description of a striker a la Gayle's style as well. Would be cautiously optimistic about him signing.

If Campbell and/or Gayle moved on in this window, he would be a good replacement. He has a lot of PL experience and knows how to play off a target man like Wickham. In the right team system, he could be very productive. As Willo says, he has pace and is a good finisher
