Hear me out first before the slating starts. I know that a lot of the players we are allegedly linked to are all figments of the reporters imaginations but surely we have been in for some of them. And yet still we haven't bolstered the ranks. We all know we need a goal scorer and probably a center back so why are all the other clubs around us improving their squads and we are not. It's frustrating. We have the money now and the stature to be attracting the sort of players that we need. We have been a premiership club now for nearly 3 years yet the likes of Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich are making some big signings and we are not. I'm sure that Pardew and Parish are working on some deals but we don't want a repeat of the Holloway panic signings at the end of the window. I've read on some posts that some of you don't think we need to make any signings. Well you must be delusional or been watching a different Palace over the last few games. I feel we are missing out on a lot of players who are going to other clubs with a much lower reputation that ourselves. Don't get me wrong I still have a lot of faith in the team and the manager but if we don't make the signings when we have the chance we will be left with the bottom on the barrel. Let's make the signings and get back to our winning ways

No I agree we really need a new striker if gayle is trying to be sold and I think a new CB to. But I don't mind when it happens as long as we get the right players for us. And I said in other posts about Watford and Bournemouth and it's frustrating to see everyone around you doing something your not. But keep the faith AP and SP know there jobs. Just 1 or 2 signings to freshen the squad bolasie back fit and we'll be pushing on.

Agents a lot of the time are the problem they will wait until the last day to squeeze all they can out of deals for players this is why we tend to not sign people before. So it's a case of waiting until the last day of the window.

We're probably only in for one or two, there's only two games left in January, and we know Parish will go for long-term value. That said, I'm sure the recruitment infrastructure at the club needs to be improved for coming windows. I'm sure the board will be looking to make big improvements to the squad in the summer, and we need to start sizing up targets as soon as we can.

If we have not singed anyone by the end of the week, then my "confident" prediction of a "bottom" twenty finish will not be "extinguished". My big toe is burning. Any advice?
