Exactly my thoughts - I imagine that a bid for every striker we've been linked with would be a great way to alienate ourselves from the clubs we might do business with again in the future. It is somewhat laughable, but somewhere in there hopefully some concrete bids have potential.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

Doesn't look like we're going to get him but for what it's worth, spoke to my sister and her boyfriend last night (they live in Florence and support Fiorentina) and they tell me he's a fantastic player we'd be lucky to get. Apparently he's not being used to his potential there (doesn't fit into the coaches plans...where have we heard that before?) but he's an absolute icon with the supporters and a real talent.

Difficult to know if this means 'never darken our door again', or double your offer and wel'll think about it! I think this might mean that we Re seriously interested in getting this guy, but who knows whether there will be another chapter in this story

James Richardson as someone has already said on the Guardian podcast said he would tear it up for Palace - pretty much his words, and he sure knows the Italian league.
