(sorry Carneiro)

Aside from the fact that we all would (nothing to debate there) what do people think about the fallout of the touchline spat with Mourinho on the opening game of the season?

Now I don't know exactly what Mourinho said in Portuguese, but from what I understand it was a load of expletives, and so I'm not sure that this is an equality issue and certainly not what the women's equality group (forget their name) was trying to make it out to be i.e. some sort of sexist outburst. Yes Mourinho was a bit of a harsh cnut, but men shout and swear at each other on the touchline and I expect he treated her like he would any other of his staff if he thought they slipped up (rightly or wrongly.

I'm so bored of this story. Nothing to do with sexism whatsoever and if he called her a name, as you would to a bloke doing the same, that further highlights that they want this to be treated as a special case, because she's a woman.

That's sexism, whereas what Mourinho did is called a spade a spade.

Hard to know without knowing what he's alleged to have said, but if it's merely an insult largely directed at women, such as b1tch, sl@g, etc, then it's nothing. It's no more sexist than if he'd used an insult largely reserved for men like d1ckhead, c0ck, etc.

He's not insulting her BECAUSE she's a woman.

As for the case itself, he WAS a c0ck - she was doing what she is morally obliged to do - treating an 'injured' player when the ref asks her to (he should reserve his anger for Hazard)

That's right, she chose to work in a predominately male high octane environment, she should expect to be treated like one of them.

Haven't heard the physio complaining and he got the same treatment.

Instead of whinging she should be questioning the wisdom of whether she was really suited to that job.

So it's racism.

I've read somewhere that he said " daughter of a whore " ( in portugese ). That's totally unacceptable if true. She did her job, and by the rules of the game. Mourinho thinks he's beyond criticism.

No different to son of a bitch, which is very frequently used. Neither are taken as statements of fact.

I think we should sign her up. I know we have our new dr from Liverpool, but we need two fighting for each position. Talking of positions, I'd... Na, best not carry on!

I feel sorry for Eva,she was sacked for doing her job.

Yes she probably had banter with the players but if as rumoured mourinho insulted her then he should be punished not only by Chelsea but by the FA.

Study the video, she gave as good as she got if not better, and by the way she was not fired, she walked out.

Good for her. She was doing her job. Jose was undermining her ability to put their players first.

Not sure why you're defending Mourinho. She shouldn't have spoken out of turn, but clearly neither should he. JM is the catalyst of the fall out, at least EC's motives were in the right spirit of the game. JM seemed so convinced the player wasn't injured it was as if he suspected one of his players would feign injury...

Constructive dismissal. Her position was made untenable.
