Shame it's only Shoot magazine who are reporting this. Pretty sure the last time I read something of theirs and got excited, was a rumour that we were in the hunt for Nick Barmby.

Could be solid if McCarthy (with a longer run of games) fails to perform, bearing in mind Speroni's age and Hennesey clearly not featuring in Pardew's plans.

Hennessy will be gone before end of the month and this is probably Jules' last season for us unfortunately. McCarthy and Zoet competing for the No 1 shirt with Kettings 3rd choice next season I suppose...

Looks to have a good mindset. There's a few quick save, stand, releases in there. Looks like Zoet is staying put. I guess the bigger picture is as many have said, Hennessey will move up to WBA, and a good young keeper will provide competition for McCarthy, but not Zoet it seems...
