It was obvious he "batted" for the other side as you never saw him with women and always had male both young and old around him when out and about. When I was a teenager in the late 50's it was on the grapevine quite often that he had a new "boyfriend". What you must remember that in those days it was against the law and people had to be careful if that way inclined. I used to see Danny La Rue and Dirk Bogarde in the "Queens Head" together in Soho at lunch times when we went for a pint. The pub is now a chinese takeaway in the new Chinatown near Leicester Square. With regard to Ted Heath being a high profile name as he was I think in my opinion it was all hushed up about his "Likes and sexual habits" as it was illegal as I said before and so the police would have kept most things quiet as we are finding out with lots of other well known people. I would imagine there are loads more of these cases to appear soon and quite a few well known names will be sh1tting themselves waiting for that knock on the door!!!
