Well, after a bit of research in to the players current situation it seems as though Valencia have been fourced into signing him as it was part of the loan deal from Man City. They have had to pay £10m this year and will have to pay £10m for his services next year. They believe that they can get a better striker and are willing to offer the player on a year loan with a view to a permanent signing at the end of the season. GO FOR IT STEVE!

Eight goals in 30 appearances in a team that defended decently but was otherwise toilet. Could be worse, but not impressive. Looking at that stats table in Wikipedia it looks like he was pretty prolific in Spain before 2013, then moved to City, went down the bog and hasn't really returned.
