We should offer Ron Vlar a deal. He was outstanding in the last World Cup and is a free agent. He is three years younger than Collocini and would make a great squad player or even first choice alongside Dann. I understand that he has a serious injury and will be out of action for four months, but if fitness is an issue, we could offer him a pay per play deal initially.

He's only injured for 4 months. Not a re-occurring thing. He will get plenty of proper contract offers don't worry about that.

Not one who is particularly vocal either on the pitch or in the dressing room but leads by example.

I think I'm right in saying he's refusing to sign a new contract at Villa too, mind you who is signing a new contract at Villa these days (apart from maybe Bolasie lol!).

Scott Sinclair signed a new contract. In terms of new signings, they have acquired keeper Bunn, also Richards, Amavi,Gueye, and today Jordan Ayew.

Personally I would take him over collocini. Think he is a better player also a few years younger. Heard southampton were also interested, and they have the Kidman link & are a bigger club but that was a few weeks ago so maybe their interest has gone a little cold. We have cover til he gets fit,

We have cover til he gets fit, Everyone is a bigger club than us in your eyes Brauny. They are not a bigger club than us! They've just got a newer ground and better infrastructure than us. They still lose their best players to the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham. We're a rebuilt Selhurst and a few more years in the Prem away from being a bigger club than them I'd say. Plus we have the London club pull. Something always overlooked in the player pulling stakes.

I think this big club small club thing is all a myth perpetuated by the likes of clubs like Villa and the Toon who don't actually win anything but feel the need to differentiate themselves from other clubs. Biggness isn't a measurement, it's a relative term and defined by the user and each and every definition can be picked apart and shown to be false. No one can reliably guess how big or small a player (or manager) thinks a club is or how much or even if it matters to the player in question. Someone invented the perfect way to judge one team against another and going by that we are currently the 10th best club in the country. It's a redundant argument to have.
