1 year left on his contract at United. If Williams can't be signed, we could maybe get him for slightly cheaper than the proposed Williams fee and get more years out of him as he's only 27.

Was class a few seasons back and has had injury problems since then. Maybe not good enough for United anymore but would be a decent signing for us I reckon.

United would have to sign someone like Ramos/Otamendi for this to happen though.

I'd be happy with Evans alongside Dann - reckon it could be a good partnership.Maybe a move outside ManU is exactly what he needs.

I genuinely do not rate him. IMHO (which doesn't count for much against the likes of SAF) I just don't think he offers the composure you need in a CB. If we signed him I would be content, but firstly I can't see it happening and secondly I don't want it to.

A decent suggestion actually. Is a solid player, would fit in well next to Dann.

Don't rate him to be honest. Always seemed like bambi/rabbit in the headlights a bit. His distribution is probably a bit better but I would prefer Delaney to be honest!

He's s***!

Look at what happens when the United "ex" stars go to other clubs in the Prem!

Sunderland defense - SHOCKING!

If we had a player who had made 200 appearances for us and was on the edge of our first team but being crowded out by new signings, a Jedinak or Delaney figure maybe, would it be reasonable for a promoted side for instance to say that he's s*** and not good enough for them?

Everton are reportedly very interested, and United are reluctant to let him go until they bring in Sergio Ramos.

Let's not get too far above our station here. He'd be a vast improvement on what we have and is just entering what should be the best years of his career for a CB.

I really rate him along side the likes of Wes Brown and John O'Shea, who when they left ManU were crap!

They are the reasons Sunderland struggle every year in the prem.

Woeful.

Ok back up for us but id rather DD and Brede ahead of JE.

What has that got to do with anything? When Will Buckley left Brighton he was s*** but it doesn't mean Murray was. When Butterfield left us he was s*** but Hill played in the PL. When Cleverley left he was pretty average but I'd take Pogba in a heartbeat.

You can't base the ability of one player on that of another purely because they once played in roughly the same position at the same club.

I'd be astounded if you can find a single supporter of another club who would take either Brede Hangeland or Damien Delaney over Jonny Evans.

He's s*** because brown and Oshea were , that's flawless logic , kebe was s*** for us and still s*** , so if we sell bolasie , he
Must be s*** to!! Oshea and Brown were decent for Sunderland when they initially left , agreed the last few years they have been poor , but one is 35 and the other one has suffered from injuries his whole career and is also in his thirties. Evans is a decent cb when fully fit , and would be an excellent partner for dann.
