Probably a tad OTT, but do we really think we'd be that much different if someone turned up to one of our friendlies in a Brighton shirt? There's always some of the "lucky I didn't see him, I'd have given him a slap" keyboard warrior types. Besides, you don't turn up to a Brighton friendly wearing a Palace shirt (or vice versa) unless you're looking for a reaction. Looks like he got one - job done!

Brighton came down to play my local club in the pre-season friendlies two years back. I have a feeling I wore a CPFC jacket. I never checked the NSC forum afterwards though. Actually, I've never been on there. I'd be immensely proud if I'd triggered a 23 page meltdown on there though. Also, two seasons ago I took my girlfriend (a Birmingham fan) to the Amex for Brighton vs Birmingham. I wore my Palace shirt to that. I won't claim to be Billy Big Balls though, I kept it covered for the majority of the day, not least because it might also have annoyed the Birmingham fans (despite no specific rivalry).

We've had Millscum turn up at our friendly at Dulwich Hamlet before; don't recall it causing a meltdown on the HOL though.

Obviously it's funny from our perspective, however, it is a stupid thing to do isn't it?! It's wrong I know, but you're just asking for trouble. Then I saw he had 'MURRAY' on the back, that just makes it a tad more funnier, and a little more sillier!

I don't see what the problem is, the game was at Lewes and presumably its was a Palace fan who also follows Lewes. We regularly go to Worthing and my kids are often wearing Palace shirts, i would advise them not to against Brighton but at the end of the day they're the away team.

I cant imagine any Brighton fan getting away with at a Palace friendly match, Imagine at Fulham a Brighton fan in our stand! They're had every right to give him stick at Lewes

Where I live in Horley it's kind of a half way point. There's Palace and Brighton fans. Itall seems pretty cordial. The fact that they're wetting their pants over it is quite pathetic really. Sussex, like the rest of the UK is open country, so if someone wants to fly a Palace flag then they should be able to unhindered. Bunch of tosspots they are.
