I haven't seen anything to suggest he'll greatly improve us. Goal scoring record is poor so I wouldn't want him as an out an out striker. However, he can play on the wing so could push Wilf and Yannick. That said I am hoping Joniesta finally gets fit and pushes the two widemen. There is no place in the centre of the park but Jonny can learn his trade out wide. Either way, despite our riches we have to tap into the academy, it's important local talent still gets showcased at palace.

Based purely on his stats at Villareal, 16 games, 1211 mins (so averaging 75 mins a game), 1 goal and 0 assists. Another ex-Arsenal forward that rarely scores. If he's more of a Chamakh than a Sanogo then ok but I'd rather see us but the £6m to a prolific striker, a CB or 'proper' winger.
