Does this Cabaye deal make anyone else wonder who else we are bringing in? Cabaye wanted to know of our transfer ambitions before agreeing personal terms so surely there must be other big names as targets. I can only imagine he was told about a few other targets and was impressed. Who could these new big players be? Any thoughts?

I would have thought that Cabaye wanting to know the clubs plan would be a given, its just the importance of this rather obvious question has been overstated by some jorno wanting to turn up yet another story.

By 'Some Journo' are you referring to long time Palace fan and consistently good source Dominic Fifield?

If Ed Maylon @ The Mirror or Fifield @ The Guardian write it, it's generally something to take notice of.

Yeah I realise that, I was a little too hasty with the quote button...

no i am not spewing bulls*** haha. Saw it on twitter by the Guardian writer who has followed most of the deal. Wonder what we told Cabaye about our other targets. Our odds for Charie Austin have shortened on Sky bet to 3/1 from 10/1. I presume we are in for another player from the French league that Cabaye has knowledge of but this is just a guess

Cabaye would be the fourth biggest signing in our history, after Ruddock, Brolin and Lombardo.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.
