"The Mayor of London has accepted an invitation from the prime minister to attend political cabinet, however this is not a ministerial appointment, he won't be attending full Cabinet and he will not be running any department." What on earth is the point of that?

This is the same Boris who : * scrapped the Croydon/CPP tramlink on becoming Mayor. And it says something about Parliament when you consider he's one of the 'nice ones'
