Lots of Palace fans on twitter challenging Tory MP Gavin Barwell to explain exactly how and when he contributed to saving Palace in 2010 - no-one seems to have seen him at Selhurst or the Lloyds protest [Tweet Link]
Croydon Central is a very marginal seat between Labour and the Tories. Not sure that annoying Palace fans the day before the election is a smart move.

Still, what desperate idiot. No wonder people have no faith in some politicians (mainly ambitious Tory ones lacking talent but sucking up to David Cameron!!)

Not quite sure what the problem is here. He said he helped save us 'along with thousands of others'. He could have quite easily done nothing.

Just comes across as a pretty poor excuse/opportunity to kick the Conservatives.

Not really sure MPs should be claiming credit for doing the kind of thing they're supposed to do, working in the best interests of their local community and constituents.

If we had Green MP, he or she would want football banned as all that running around on the pitch injures earth-worms and insects in the grass.

If we had a UKIP MP and their desires were put into effect,we might be looking for a new goalkeeper, left back, defensive midfielder and striker! Plus, the future likes of Bolassie, Zaha and Moses might not grow up here.

Still, we'd have a pitch and ground, as opposed to a luxuary gated community that we'd not be able to afford to live in, but somehow had ended up subsisising the construction of through government grants and council schemes.
