Why is MORE of every pound that i earn v what my granddad earned taken in tax?
He had a home that he could afford, schools, hospitals, roads etc etc. He had everything we have today but paid far less.
How so?

Ha. Very good but no.

This thread has shown nothing more than many people aren't willing to face the actual truth because it ultimately makes them look like fools.
Kinda disappointed tbh but equally not surprised.
Oh well

I've heard that back in grandads day he had to walk to school/work, it was atleast a 100mile round journey, and the poor fcuker had no shoes. Women had hairy armpits and even hairier fannys. And you'd have to go outside to a little shed to take a turd, then wipe your arse with yesterdays paper. And as for p***.... I don't think p*** even existed!?

All sounds pretty sh!t to me.

Many references regarding Granddad (thanks, he sends his best wishes) but none regarding the percentage of our buck now taken.
There lies the problem.
