I wish Russell Brand would stand for parliament, he would make a brilliant Prime Minister.

I thought he would be good on Question Time but wasn't all that. He'd make an awful PM.

Fair play to Ed for being interviewed by him as young people seem to think he did ok. The other leaders were asked and I'd expect all of them, except Dave, to be queuing up to be interviewed soon.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

We agree on that one 100% and I would add another word in the highlighted quote....and that is "Useless"

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Would be no surprise that he's backing Labour if it wasn't for his denunciation of the whole system.

He's just seeking public approval as much as any politician.

Still, a step up from Martin Freeman.

He's gone from saying we shouldn't vote at all to effectively endorsing the Greens, Labour and (loosely) the SNP within a week. Any more u-turns and he'll have to start considering a career in politics.

Next week on the Trews: When Russell remembers that politicians are backstabbing liars who will say anything to get in to power, and apologises for endorsing a party who will continue to implement austerity and declining worker's rights.
