The budget prior to an election is usually the give away one.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Unless you've been preaching austerity for the last 5 years.

At the end of the day they will give put £4 in your front pocket and take £5 out your back, irrespective who is in charge.

The increase of PA to 10,800 is great but this will only increase to 11,000 next year.

The response by Miliband was beyond weak.

I'm not going to get on my politicial "Soapbox" as the debate will disintegrate into hot-boil bile with me at my splenetic worst as I confront the "Lefties".
Over to you chaps, I shall refrain from passing any comment.

18p off the cost of a Greggs Steak Slice - phased in over the life of the next parliament.

Osbourne pretty much went for a no-frills Budget, and I think that's probably a good idea since the economic figures are speaking for themselves.

Things are looking up, we're performing better than pretty much anyone else in the advanced economy (especially the ones who adopted more leftist economics) and the Labour pairing is calamitous in comparison to Osborne/Cameron.

On the economy, Tories win. It's as simple as that. Labour need to change the narrative (which they're trying to do by making it all about the NHS) in order to win.
