Afternoon all. My brother is running the Great Manchester Run in the spring and I was hoping for your support. He ran it last two years ago in support of Cancer Research UK. What inspired him to do so was that the previous Autumn our Mum was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer and had a rough ride for quite a while but was given excellent treatment by the NHS. The great news is that in January she was told she has now been free of Cancer for a year. I posted on here when he ran the first time and the support that he received was fantastic from our supporters. He raised several hundred pounds last time for this brilliant cause (am awaiting a text from him as to how much exactly that it was.) I know it will be a cause close to many of your hearts as it affects the lives of so many people. He has only just set up his page this week and so is on £0 at the moment (I am waiting until I am paid tomorrow lol !)Any amount at all is greatly appreciated , even if it is just £1 that would be fantastic. If anyone is able to set up a direct link somewhere below that would be great too as I am not too technically minded and somebody kindly did that the last time. If you are able to donate please can you make sure that he is aware that you are a Palace fan as I want to show him again what a fantastic set of supporters we have. He has told me that he raised around £500 last time he ran. He has set a target this time of just £100 to err on the side of caution. Please please donate if you can and I am deadly serious that even £1 is greatly appreciated , we are a pretty small family and he doesn't have a massive number of good friends due to having lived up north for many years now and seemingly doing very little other than work 24/7 to get by and support his daughter. Donating takes only a couple of minutes and it is a great cause for a charity that helps so many. Cheers me dears !
