England in Cardiff to kick off tonight So what do we all think - all the sides have had decent results and some not so decent results over the last year I think Wales will turn over an injury plagued England tonight and have the Irish down as a sneaky dark one to win the whole thing given they are actually the holders but people are looking at England, France and Wales as the form horses (even though Ireland had the Aussies and Boks over) but certainly think its the most competitive for a while....even Scotland might win a game other than Italy !! It's as tough as it's ever been to call. I don't think that there'll be a slam but any one of Wales, England, Ireland & France can win it, with Scotland on the up maybe having quite a big say. We should beat you comfortably tonight, however we all know it doesn't work like that. I expect a tight affair where we may beat you by a try. As much as I want to win the Championship, this close to the World Cup it is also about getting through the tournament without any major injuries! All that said it seems like a good opportunity to regurgitate this from 2013. Attachment: jiffy.jpg (35.08Kb)

The Championship really is too close to call this year. Before all the injuries I would have said it was England's to lose. Wales are a settled side that are looking strong. Ireland are in good form and are probably my pick for winners. Scotland are massively improving and will give everyone a game. France are dark horses for the title but you never know which France will turn up. About the only certainty is that Italy will be last. Excited and nervous about the game tonight. Wales are favourites with home advantage and England having to field a B team with all the injuries! I'm looking forward to seeing Ford at fly half but England's biggest concern this close to the World cup is that literally no-one knows who should play 12 and 13! Still!

Perm any 2 from either Barritt, Manu or Burrell for 12 and 13 for me - not convinced by 36 at all Ford is a good player and a good game in a hostile environment for him would see his WC chances go through the roof

The winner will be decided tonight. We owe the Welsh a bloody good thrashing and are long overdue a championship.
Optimistic as ever |

I was in Cardiff on a stag do in 2013, we hadn't planned it that way, but its probably the only time I'm glad England have lost. We went out with the stag dressed up as a surprisingly convincing woman, and got a bit of banter, but it was better than what could have happened had we won the grand slam. While waiting for the cab we saw a very drunk Wales Team all suited and booted walking down the High Street swigging from champagne bottles. Think it was Leigh Halfpenny who stacked it over a bollard! #CoolStoryBroEtcEtc

I'll bet we go close tonight, but still lose.

Ireland have both France and England in Dublin - then away for the rest - why I fancy them to do well having 2 of the big 3 at home. I would like to see Scotland have a go after years of international rugby embarrassment as well, its good to see they are actually starting to look like a half decent competitive side.

Results tend to favour the home side (unsurprisingly) I do like to look at the 1970s and early 1900s

Jeremy Guscott to pop up with the winner in the last minute. I would have thought the homoeroticism of egg chasing would have been right up your strasse Danno I think until you have had your head in another mans sweat soaked and grass stained groin you really haven't lived
