Greece should never have been admitted and those who allowed it have never paid the price for it. Greece will probably have to leave the Euro zone.....Which in the short term will be disastrous for them. If they do leave.....with the fallout of that....I can see extremists eventually taking over who are even more nutty than this lefty bunch....... and even larger scale immigration. Longer term maybe the control over their own economy will enable them to be competitive and actually come out stronger. But only if they change their anti tax mindset. Greece should never have been admitted and those who allowed it have never paid the price for it.

Greece will probably have to leave the Euro zone.....Which in the short term will be disastrous for them.

If they do leave.....with the fallout of that....I can see extremists eventually taking over who are even more nutty than this lefty bunch....... and even larger scale immigration.

Longer term maybe the control over their own economy will enable them to be competitive and actually come out stronger.

But only if they change their anti tax mindset.

Actually agree with this. Greece's economic strategy is so dictated to them by Germany that it's of relatively little importance which way their governing party swings. Granted, Syriza have come out and said they're going to challenge the EU but whether they have the bollocks to actually do so is another matter. Economic isolationism isn't really that favourable either.

Still, very intriguing seeing the rise of the left in Greece, Spain and (to a lesser extent) here with the Greens, all on the back of anti-austerity.

I think your both right, however what worries me is that Syriza does not have complete control over his own party, and there are alot of independant radical elements within it, which will only spell further chaos when they go to make important choices, like leaving the EU
