Had mates in the Chelsea end that I met for a beer after the game and they are all staunch Chelsea and agreed we full deserved the result and were impressed with our team in both games. City away was also a great performance. We went there when they were smashing teams 4-0 5-0 and come away losing 1-0.

Another vote for the Chelsea game. I saw all the games on the TV/internet this year, but I saw that particular game in person (and again when I got home as I'd recorded it). That performance was all-but flawless - only marred by it not being a more emphatic scoreline which was thoroughly deserved. Chelsea's attacks were like waves breaking on rocks about 22 yards out from our goal. They hit the rocks and were forced sideways. Occasionally, they got around the sides, but those crosses were meat and drink to our defense. They had tons of possession, but none of it really threatening. Another element of this game was how Pulis won the battle of wits with Mourinho. He matched Chelsea's midfield with a trio of his own, meaning that Luiz had plenty of meaningless possession which he didn't know what to do with. At halftime, Mourinho replaced Luiz with Oscar, looking for more attacking flair, but instead found his team now getting totally overrun in midfield, Palace passing and running through them at will. After we were ahead, the introduction of Salah caused Ward some issues for a few minutes, but Pulis took off Bolasie, replaced him with O'Keefe who went into the middle and he pushed Ledley over to give Ward some cover. That snuffed out that threat too, and Mourinho had nothing left. Comprehensive win from top to bottom.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

One of Pulis' best tactical performances aswell. Also Chelsea had a real lack of width and most of our attacks came out wide.

Everton away. 7 straight wins before playing us, on fire specially at home, OK Martinez messed around with his team formation but 2-0 then 3-1 up and Pulis showed him up for managerial naivety not previously apparent. One of our best-ever results in the Prem, I reckon.

Cardiff away? Smashing them and letting them know that we're better (sans cheating) then them!
I'll never forget the day that Danny Butterfield scored that hattrick. Red and Blue Army! No Matter What. |

Everton away immense, Chelsea at home out of this world with JT scoring and Speroni making one of the saves of the season when Hazard tried to outsmart him, first half (yes, under Holoway) against Stoke away and last 15 minutes vs Liverpool, making Joe Hart MOTM in Manchester and smashing Tandiff home and away. Among a lot of our marvelous PL displays this season.
