Clearing out som cupboards and found this !!!! Did we too fall for the perils of the happy clappers...? Anyone have any idea when. Club crest on one side, and EAGLES on the other.

Unfortunately m'lord it is definitely CPFC !!!!

It was quite a long time ago; was it the play off semi-final (home leg) in 2004 or 2006?

Not so long ago. Doncaster away two or three seasons back. Donny let home fans in for free so Palace offered free coaches and these were part of paraphernalia given out at the Keepmoat. Cracking away atmosphere and a vital point from pretty tepid match.

No, I never went to Doncaster away; it was a home game and a fair while ago (eight to ten years). At home, almost certainly a Saturday and it was sunny, so probably at the beginning or end of the season; I'd go for the end of.

I have just managed to search out my 'happy-clapper' ! I hasten to point out it was unused on the day!
It is not the same colour as the one in the photo.....so could this mean CPFC have turned towards these objects of organized / constructed atmosphere on more than one occasion?
I seem to remember the game was at home....and we needed to win to get into the play-offs. Scott Sinclair was playing on loan from Chelsea; we got off to a brilliant star when one of the opposition was sent off really early and we scored an early goal. I think we went out winners by 5-0........but I forget who the opposition was.....oooops!
I think it was the year we went to Cardiff and beat the hammers.

Was against Burnley and we were simply immense that day.

Think we had happy clappers a few times to be honest.

Against Liverpool in the league cup when we beat them?

My son had one and it was mainly white, so they were definitely given out more than once in the Jordan era. I don't think they were a problem until Brighton produced theirs!

Watched the Sheff Weds V CPFC game(again) & at half time it showed quite a lot of Palace fans with WHITE 'clappers'.....

 

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Definetly got mine at Doncaster Away a few seasons back. Nice day out plenty of sun, think was 0-0 or 1-1 pretty dull, but needed the point.

Think we sung, always look on the bright side of life at the end.
