Anyway, he seems to be doing OK at Rotherham who are through to the Div 1 Play off final v Leyton Orient, having triumphed over Preston. He didn't play tonight, but a trip to Wembley nowbeckons. Good old Claude!

one of the worst players ever to pull on a palace shirt!! And one that divided opinion. I loved Claude and his attitude and approach to the game. He as good as won us matches with some of his defending and was victimised by referees because of his reputation. Some of those red cards were completely unjustified (and some of them were, which is also great entertainment!)

Claude 'The Wall' Davis. Almost killed a Cardiff Player in his first season on loan with us. Whilst he was never the worlds best defender, he was great value for us and always entertaining. His commitment to the team was unfaultable, and I don't remember anyhow musculing him off the ball.
