In today's South London Press Parish identifies himself as being a proverbial "Pain in The Rear" in his initial dealings with Pulis. It seems as though he is pretty demanding and I suppose this is the way you succeed in business. It could be he is a man cast in the same mold as myself because during my professional life I was a real b****** who never asked for any quarter nor gave any quarter. I took no prisoners!. However,as I grew older I realized that some people knew better than I did and I began to relent a bit. Most of these people were consummate professionals who would argue from the strength of experience. Perhaps,as time goes on,Parish might be willing to concede that, sometimes, two heads are better than one especially in those cases where the one head has the necessary experience to prove his point. I very much admire Parish because of his tremendous efforts for The Palace but we all live to learn and in some areas of professional activity we have to climb down and ,at least, be prepared to listen to those who have an inside track.

Not much point bring someone in on the basis of their experience if you don't allow them to use it.

But you can maybe appreciate SP's insecurities after Burley's departure, then Dougie and Holloway.

SP probably realised he was 'too involved' at times, and hopefully is now a bit more relaxed

I disengage, I turn the page.

I'm sure SP is a ruthless son of a bitch if needs be. All the most successful people are b******s and bitches.

I don't mean that in bad way !

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

When you read or hear of other Clubs and their board of Directors, it really does make good reading and listening when the Palace Directors, in particular Steve Parish stand up to be heard.

I wonder with the past two seasons success that the current board would consider STAYING and not just look after things for the arrival of an unknown enity. If they are enjoying it as much as we are, I would love them to stay. There truly is something special begining here, that on the pitch is a reflection of that spirit, honesty, and empathy for one and other from a fantastic group of people.

The most successful have to be b******s (or bitches) sometimes...goes with the job. Shouldn't be the default switch though, and SP shows that is the case. Just doesn't waste time suffering fools for too long.

Questions for Blind Eagle: What was your career and what were your very worst atrocities? Were you deported to the U.S. or did you go voluntarily? Are you banned from re-entry to the UK?

Sounds as if SP is Twinkletoes by comparison.

I was in the manure(animal dung business) for fifty years having served a grimy apprenticeship under my Grandpa for ten years in glorious south Devon. My one and only problem in those days related to my being refused refused entry to St.James Park to see Exeter City play simply because I smelt so bad. Grandpa collected and sold animal dung with the very best of traders and we would walk a million miles for a free load of horse or pig dung as well as some other pungent varieties. Unfortunately Grandpa never told me about the many "wide boys" in the business, mainly from the London area, who made it a pretty cut throat past time so I realized that to survive I had to thin out the competition mainly by my enduring threats to hang serious competitors over pig dung pits until they agreed to back off and let me forge ahead in the business. Only once did I have to actually string up a "wide boy" and he spread it around that I did indeed mean business as our pig dung was the real McCoy. My business strategy worked very well and I went on to make a fortune which I brought with me to the US as a welcome immigrant who was not exactly deported from the UK but seriously persuaded to move on because the offensive odor that emanated from our storage installations was having an adverse effect of quite some proportions on the Devonian tourist industry. Yes I understand I can return to Britain always provided I promise to take a bath and change my clothes regularly which is not an inconvenience for me here in the US. Believe me one man's dung is another man's treasure so cheer up my lads bless em all!.
