I'm surprised no one has mentioned the totally f*cking brilliant bit of improvisation by Glenn for the equaliser. He knew he couldn't head it as it would have gone through to the keeper so he had to cushion it and also twist his upper body to direct it into Dwight's path. It was as good as scoring the goal himself. There are lots of instances of players chesting down for a team mate to score but this was different class.

You've got a very one eyed view, Gayle also put the defender off just before GM chested it into his path and Dwight finished it brilliantly.

Let's face it, if the other team did it, it would've been labelled as world class.

Watching the replay of it, that assist just looks better and better, its a perfect through ball/knock down for Gayle to run on to. Yeah their defence was poor, and has been poor all season, but they had defenders on the bench. Any team that cannot hold down a 3-0 lead in a vital game, with 10 minutes left on the clock isn't good enough. Could you imagine Palace this season not being able to hold on for 10 minutes or so, at 3-0 up. We've been doing it for 30 minutes at 1-0 up. Brendon Rodgers manager of the season, more like bottler of the season.

I can't wait to see murray after having a full pre season with TP. He came on and literally bullied the defense when battling with them and provided a great assist for the equaliser. IMO it will be like having a new signing.

Yes, if that chest-down and finish had been witnessed at the 'Theatre of Dreams' involving Rooney et al the press would have had England winning the World Cup by now. A Brilliant bit of skill by our two super reserves. Just think how many games Punchy has had to get his 7 goals, then along comes Gayle who nabs four in a handful of games. And the chest-down, directly from a long clearance, oh no. that's just TP and his big, clumsy long ball game. If that had been Gerrard's long ball, we would have heard the word perceptive, Carrol's knock-down would have been a reminder to Woy and Gayle's finish Greaviesk. Come on Palace, you're tearing up the old brainwashing manual.

Here it is as a gif If Liverpool had done that to us, MOTD would be creaming themselves about the SAS. Instead, it's just a defensive error.
