Palace v Wolves

Was watching the game last night with a Wolves fan that really got on my t!ts. When watching Palace he likes to try and wind me up and put us down. He randomly brought up the fact that Palace have a big history which I replied "yeah a very big history" for him to have to go straight in their during watching PALACE and commenting with "not as big as Wolves of course" with a cockey look on his face. I said Wolves haven't had that big a history and he said well they have won the top division more then we have. I didn't really know what to say to that really. He always gives me the ump with his comments about Palace. What is there to say about their history? Has anyone got any ideas of good come backs the next time something similar comes up in convo? Just remind him that delusions = building a massive state of the art stand for real supporters behind the goal, kitted out with match time bars for drinking rather than hospitality and then getting ideas above their station 9 months later and sacking McCarthy, only for nobody else wanting the job and giving it to a youth coach, then getting relegated 3 months later. And the next Summer getting relegated again. Very impressive. Alternatively just mug the cvnt off. Sounds like one from what you've said.

Yeah, never a bad idea to cite the back to back relegation seasons to a Wolves fan...that's a fantastic piece of history! Premier League to playing Dagenham & Redbridge in just 12 months!

Just explain to him it is all about the present.Tell him that years ago your dad was bigger than you and that, now, you are bigger than your dad. He might realise his delusions of grandeur are just that; delusions.
