Having lauded his praises last year its sad to see Glen has not the pace to be effective in the Premiership,His cruciate injury has been a killer blow--such a terrible injury to totally recover from. With next season in mind CPFC should thank Murray and sell him to enhance their coffers--he will do a fine job for a championship club if he remains fit.Your views....

I agree. Whilst he was a great servant in the Championship, it is quitr clear he isn't going to be the striker we need to push us on. We're advancing as a club and sometimes you have to move on. I think Murray is a good striker but the Championship is his limit. I'd hate for it to get to the stage where it became embarrasing for him and a waste of time being at Palace a I can't see him getting much football with us next season.

Should go to a team like Ipswich, Middlesboro or Forest and help them kick on as well.

Agreed. No room or time to be romantic in PL..

Wow
The man has had hardly any game time in a side that plays the same sort of football as when he first came to the club and scored about half a dozen.
Get two decent wingers/wingbacks who can cross a ball and he would score goals.

Personally i would have him in front Chamakh and Jerome.
Jerome has pace and strength but cant hit a cow's bum with a banjo.
Chamakh might have some nice touches but dont tell me he is better in the air than Murray or indeed quicker and i know Murray aint that fast either.

Completely disagree. Nothing to do with being romantic, rather just sensible and not a kneejerk moron. Glen hasn't had a chance to prove himself at this level yet. Feed him and he will score goals IMO. Selling him after a few bench appearances would be insane.

Anybody that thought he was going to hit the ground running in the short time he was fully fit this season were expecting way too much ! If he can keep working on his fitness and strength throughout the summer and get a full pre season in I think he will prove a lot more of a goal threat next season. That's not clouded by sentiment it's a fact ! People can't judge a player that has never played in the "best league in the world" that's is probably only now nearing full fitness.

As for pace, he's a goal scorer and a poacher he isn't going to be playing off a defenders shoulder waiting to run onto a ball over the top. If we create for him he WILL score in this division !

Let's keep him until next season, give him a chance to get fully fit, he at the very least deserves that, super Glenn!

Sorry to say cant see Glen Hacking it in the Prem. Im sure his fitness level has been there otherwise knowing TP he wouldn't be lining up. Defenders are more up to the task in the Prem and Glen looks way off the mark. Championship at best and even then not sure he will reach the heights of two seasons ago.

Unbelievable. The bloke plays a massive part in getting us promotion. He suffers a horrific injury, from which he is still not 100% fit and won't be until the start of next season and already he is written off as not being up to The Premiership. Shocking. For the most part we have some terrific supporters, but sometimes we really let ourselves down with some nonsensical rubbish.

Glen is slow, but as someone said when he is being fed he will get goals at any level because he finds good positions. If you can't out pace a player you can out think them.

The difference is the gulf between PL and the lower league. Wilf and Bolasie could whip a ball past most Championship defenders, but less crosses are coming from our wingers in the PL. Can anyone remember the last time a cross came in from Puncheon (not slating him though, he's just not that sort of player).

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

If we could combine Jerrome's engine, speed and work rate with Glenn's goalscoring instinct we would have the perfect striker.

...who would therfore be playing for a top 6 team! But I agree with most on this thread, Glenn deserves a fair chance in the Prem, which he wont have this season after returning on injury.
