This is a nice article about our rising star. It's good to see a Palace player being given some credit and respect.
And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways |

Palace supporter playing for Palace, no surprise he's fitted in so well.

I was a critic of Jason earlier on in the season but I have had to change my tune quite substantially because I now feel he is very much an asset because he puts in a pretty good shift.

You're not alone, blind eagle. I think there's probably about four of us who've stood by Jason all along because we knew he was Croydon by birth and here by choice. We're the wikipedia generation though!

He's a superb and exciting Palace player. I believe he's also going to get even better. Probably our deadliest finisher too.

He has won alot of us over, also has a priceless ability of being able to score goals as well.....love the story of after he signed for Palace he went straight down the box office and brought a box for his family to come and watch!

I was unsure about him at first and admit to giving him dog's abuse after the Spurs penalty fiasco. But since then he's been a revelation and his goals have been a huge part of our success this season. One thing about the piece though. It says Palace played "...fantastically well against Tottenham." Er, not by my reckoning we didn't. We were ok, but "fantastic"? Slight exaggeration methinks!

Puncheon was exceedingly lucky to be given the game time to get to the level he has achieved in the last half a dozen games or so. The first half of the season he was generally ineffective and lethargic and I couldn't believe he kept getting a start every week. So good on TP for keeping the faith and eventually reaping the benefits. However, I can't help but think that with the same amount of blind faith in providing loads of time on the pitch seemingly irrespective of performances, there are a number of other players in the squad who might have achieved great things: Kebe, Gayle, Guediora, Bannan, Joniesta etc. Of those, I think Kebe had the attributes TP wanted (fast breaker, skilful, good eye for goal) and was unfortunate that JP was the one given the time to make his mark.

I don't think it was so much blind faith as Puncheon was a proven PL starter at Blackpool in 2010/11 and at Southampton in 2012/13 with 5 goals, 6 assists and just one yellow card last season for the Saints, his most notable goals being against Chelsea and ManCity

True, but Kebe also scored 5 in only 16 appearances for Reading in the Prem last year, but wasn't given even a fraction of the time to prove himself. I'm not saying that's a wrong decision, because I understand he hasn't exactly been uprooting trees at Leeds; more just an observation.
