It is well documented that the Palace team have a wonderful togetherness and team spirit that evolved from the likes of Delaney, Jedinak, Ramage and Wilbraham joining the club. Since Rambo and Wilbs have not been around this season, does anyone know who are the big characters in the dressing room now that bring this all together. I think Paddy probably still has a part to play within the dressing room, and feel that there is a case to be made for big characters like Rambo , Paddy and Wilbs to be in the 25 even if it's not entirely for footballing ability .

You are joking, right? All three should be involved in the dressing room next season...not ours.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I don't think that big characters make the dressing room settled and encourage togetherness as much as you might think. Team spirit is build by leadership and a mutual and supportive understanding where brothers can learn to trust and grow and welcoming envir.....
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

I looked up Wilbs and noticed that he turns 35 this year so would imagine that his playing career is coming to an end. Would love to see him come back to us in some sort of mentoring role. Maybe to help new players integrate into the team.

Dann and Ledley look like they were carefully selected for their character and effort. I guess when the attitude of the senior players is good it filters down to the rest of the squad.

So, two players who were not in the 25 this half of the season should now be out in, filling up two valuable places just because they may have an influence in the changing room? The 3rd, becuase he's been at the club since the original Palace was built but is too crocked to run onto the pitch? Yes, we need a good eam spirit but not at the expense of the playing staff. We'll end up with 24 entertainers and a keeper. Hello championship, here we come.
Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan |

I don't think TP will bring in, or keep, anyone who doesn't reflect the same togetherness and team spirit as his captain (Jedi) and veteran players (Sper, Punch, Ledley, Murray).

I'm sorry, I didn't make it quite clear, that I wasn't advocating taking up three places in the 25 man squad, that would be fool hardy. As I said, wilbs maybe could come back on the non playing staff, and maybe have one back in the 25. I have done it , but I'd imagine if you go through the 25 man squads of the prem teams, there is a player there that hasn't played all season. If a player isn't having a game, at least make sure he is gonna be a good influence on the dressing room. It's probably even more relevant to us with our current manager who likes to find a winning 11 and pretty much stick with them.
