Just thought I'd stir things up a little by asking if anyone on here would swap the incredible achievement of retaining our Premiership status for victory for England in Brazil this summer. As for me, club before country every time! COYP!

Plus, why should we suffer for the good of the country! I bet if you asked any other supporter, club success over country would always come first. Am sure the players think that as well!

To be quite honest, i'd have this season over England never fielding an international team again.

Hmm...looks like I am an infidel but I don't see it that simply. If we were to compare Palace v Sheff W and the possibility of oblivion, then no question it would be Palace first. But a relegation, with the club on a sound footing, and the chance to get back in 12 months against a once-in-a-generation chance to lift the World Cup, then it would be the World Cup for me (provided John Terry wasn't the captain, obviously).
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand! My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right. (Member of the School of Optimism 1969-2016 inclusive) |

Good question. When I was younger I would have said England but years of watching the national team has changed my opinion completely. I think the whole England set up is a far cry from what it used to be and my enthusiasm for a load of overpaid whiners has declined over the years. Will England show the same togetherness and passion in the World Cup that we have this season? I doubt it very much. I still love England and support them fully, especially with Cwoydon Woy in charge cos I like him and he's from here but if it's a question of Palace v England it's no contest - Palace every time.
