On reflection of our sensational season, we need to recognise the role that Ian Holloway played.

Yes that's right. He made a tough decision to step down after the poor home game against Fulham when he conceded that he wasn't the man to keep Palace up. Holloway was honest enough to admit this and felt that CPFC2010 and the fans deserved better.

Where would we be now if he hadn't come to this conclusion and gracefully stepped down? Yes the board would have (at some point) made a tough call to relieve Holloway of his duties had our poor form continued but how many games later would that have been and to what extent would this have dented our chances of staying up?

Instead of being a laughing stock, we are now receiving deserving praise for our massive fight and winning form.

Thank you Ian. For being honest enough to step aside. And for giving us every chance with Pulis to turn our season around.

In some ways I hope Holloway can keep Millwall up this season.

Nah not really, I hope them and Charlton go down! COYP !!!

To be honest, there's not many people that would hold their hands up and say "I haven't got this in me".

Whilst it is commendable, and we shouldn't forget that, all he gave us was a chance. It's thanks to Millen, and then Pulis, that we are here now.

He played his party in the journey. Wasn't the man to get us there but he set us on our way.

Can we stop all this Holloway arse licking. I don't believe for one minute he was going to stay either he left or Parish sacked him he was gone after the Fulham game and he knew it. Fact is the promotion under him pretty much covers up the fact he was a failure and on par with George Burley at how delusional and tactically inept he was.

Yes - like outhinking Poyet and Zola in the playoffs!!

Why can't you just acknowledge the contribution made by so many, including those no longer here like Holloway, Freedman, Ramage, Phillips.

This is the time to celebrate not vilify!

Totally agree.

He is popular because he thinks he's a comedian. Was funny at first but soon got boring.

Yes he just about got us up but he was still not a very good manager.

Thank you for the play off Holloway but if you had stayed I have no doubt we would have been relegated on the lowest points total ever.

Thank you for admitting your inadequaties in the premier league and stepping aside so that a real master tactician can take over.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

He played his not insignificant part at a crucial stage to finally get us up and had the integrity to step aside rather than cling to the cash! I respect him!

Can't bring myself to thank the bloke. Absolute disaster of a manager for us bar the two good play-off performances. The fact is we only reached the playoffs as we already had the points on the board before he arrived. His signings were generally poor and we were fast becoming the laughing stock of the Premier League. Comes across as a decent bloke and walking away was the honourable thing to do but I can't thank him for mess he left behind.
