Pulis “I think we’re an exciting team. And we’ve missed our best player today - [Marouane] Chamakh has been wonderful for us. He really links the work we do defensively with the work we do going forward.” [Link]

Do you agree?

Must admit we create more clear chances with him on the pitch and he also can win a header and chip in with goals.

Uhmmmm depends how you define 'best' ......better than Speroni for producing World Class saves worth xx points or Jedi for being the Midfield rock and doing the grafting that enables Chamak to flourish.

Still who am I to make that judgment, if TP says he is then so be it.

I think this is pulis trying to keep chamakh on board next season now we are staying up, the best player in his position and possibly the team but we are a TEAM and that unity has kept us up!

Maroune Chamakh would not look out of place in a Champions League quarter final.

That says it all.

The whole team is full of best players imo. I can't pick just one. Everyone has their favourite player but they have all given their all. Yes Speroni has made some spectacular saves to keep us in games and winning games, Puncheon has most goals, delaney dann gabbidon ward and mariappa have been immense in us having the 5th best defensive record in the prem jedi has been the rock in midfield and yala has run defences ragged and leads in assists. Jerome although hasn't scored as much as we would like has worked his socks running here there and everywhere chamakh only just behind puncheon and his conversion rate of shots to goals is quite good. also good in the air and linking defence and attack. others have done their bit as well. Like I said can't pick just one but tony knows more so if he says chamakh then so be it.

The team works great as a unit but Chamakh is different gravy, his composure and ability on the ball is something we are very fortunate to have and I hope he signs on longer with us.

So right, he's just the next level on really. From the first time I properly saw him against Stoke his first touch and ability to not lose the ball whilst making some quick and simple decisions make him stand out from the rest. We've struggled to hold onto the ball all season, but watch the Cardiff game from when Chammy comes on, he just controls that area of the pitch so well, reminded me of what Berbatov did against us when Fulham spanked us early in the season. Fantastic composure.
