This makes a very interesting read...apologies if it has already been raised somewhere else.. Post a reply Why Cardiff City are WRONG to make official complaint to Premier League over Crystal Palace spy furore viewtopic.php?f=2&t=139630
Head of sport Paul Abbandonato says Cardiff City are in danger of being dubbed sore losers There is only one thing worse than losing badly and that’s being a bad loser. Cardiff City, unfortunately, are in danger of being tarred with each one of those unwanted tags as the fallout from last weekend continues. The 0-3 horror show by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team against Crystal Palace was horrendous enough. But just when we were hoping that was behind us, and energies were being devoted totally to righting the many wrongs in the game at Southampton, we learn officially that the Bluebirds have made a complaint to the Premier League about Palace boss Tony Pulis discovering Solskjaer’s team. Football dressing rooms and environments have to be about loyalty, trust, integrity. Whoever from Cardiff leaked the side to Palace deserves to be dismissed, in my opinion. But there is a distinct difference between that course of action and moaning to the League hierarchy about so-called ‘unethical’ tactics supposedly deployed by Palace’s recruitment chief Iain Moody, dismissed himself earlier this season by Vincent Tan. Deal with any breach of trust internally, yes. But keep it in house, rather than leave yourself open to accusations of being bad losers by complaining ... a course of action which ensured the Bluebirds merited yet more unwanted attention on the front pages of the London tabloids. This must not be permitted to become a smokescreen and detract in any way whatsoever from the abject nature of the Bluebirds’ performance against Palace and the desperate need to restore pride, passion and make the fans proud again against Southampton. The football grapevine began buzzing from as early as last Sunday afternoon - 24 hours after the Palace debacle - about Soslkajer supposedly changing his team because he learned the line-up had been leaked to Pulis. Only Solskjaer will know the truth behind that, I guess. But so what if Pulis knew Cardiff’s side? It’s not uncommon in football and, let’s be honest, whatever he learned, it didn’t affect the game-plan of the Palace boss one iota. He lined up his side exactly as he has done in previous matches. Four at the back, two holding midfielders, Joe Ledley just behind lone striker Cameron Jerome, with Jason Puncheon and Yannick Bolaise occupying the wide berths. It wouldn’t have mattered to Pulis if Solskjaer had played 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-3-2 or picked ten men up front. He had his settled system which made Palace resolute and organised and he was sticking with it. I would have taken the view that Cardiff possessed better players. End of. So what if Pulis knew the line-up? With the correct team selection and tactics, Solskjaer’s men were more than good enough to impose themselves on the game and win it. They didn’t because the team selection and tactics were flawed and, unforgivably, Palace clearly wanted it more. Those were the reasons for Cardiff’s worst performance for four years, not the fact that Pulis was supposedly handed an edge by learning Solskjaer’s starting X1. Correcting those fundamental flaws and putting the right team, tactics and commitment to the cause into play against Southampton are what have really mattered this week. Not some daft spying saga which could have been dealt with in-house. Making it public has turned it into an unwanted distraction.

Cardiff will be relegated within the next couple of matches. Not because they are a bad team. Not because they have a bad manager. Not because of confidentiality issues. But because they have a poisonous owner. He has single handedly drawn focus away from training, tactics and playing, with general meddling with the whole organisation which he professes to love. We don't need Tans in football. Not in any league.

A bit of common sense from Cardiff. Regardless of the crap the BBC are claiming (We could lose 3 points, which is bollocks anyway), this is reassuring.
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

As Much as I dislike Cardiff, most of what I've seen on their boards think it's a farce. Their fans have , for once been sensible about the whole thing.

Palace have Cardiff connections with Pulis watching football their and Ledley and Jerome playing there. If they want us to help them survive by beating Fulham, which will try to do - The Tan Should STFU

I Lived in Cardiff for many years and I know Cardiff Supporters Hate Tan. He has changed the Cardiff colors from blue to Red. They Say Cardiff will not do anything until he leaves. They think he has single handily relegated the club. It would be really nice if we could help Cardiff supporter get rid of Tan. He is selfish and disrespectful I hope this silly spy episode comes to an end soon.
