This from the Everton fans forum:

Credit to Crystal Palace and Tony Pulis. They have their brand of football simple as it may be it's honest and straightforward, we should commend their hard work and effort and move on. Next time we play them we will have learned, and they will get more respect.

(Not everyone was so generous, mind)

The right place at the right time

Thanks...means lots to Palace fans who, over the years, have had to put up with just about everything fate can throw at anybody. Hope you make the Champions League. See you next season. x

OK polite and respectful. But football is a simple game and whoever scores more goals is the winner. We scored three, they were unable to score more than two because of our defence.

We don't need patronising thank you, we were better than Everton on the night and that's that.

The stadium announcer tonight deserves to be recognised. Wished all the fans a safe trip home and said we'll definately see you next year.

What a touch of class, especially after the result!

2nd time this season!

Glad this game was re-arranged now. Last time round I felt like we'd missed an opportunity as they had been in stuttering form. This time round they were a juggernaut, seemingly unstoppable. And yet...

You misunderstand. The OP is not an Everton fan, he's just passing on what he read on an Everton forum.

Don't care who is isn't, still mean it to any Everton supporters, even if they are trying to be a little sarcastic. As Oscar Shindler said, 'we are the conquerors and can afford to be generous.

...... and, as the Mayor of Hiroshima said, 'what the f*ck was that?'

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

..... and equally relevant, as Quasimodo said "who's Iain Dowie?"

Most certainly not European.
