Man City are pushing for the title, Sunderland are in meltdown. So Sunderland will typically get something out of this game.

Funny how I these days cheer for the top teams in the table, ManUtd, Citybank, Chelsea or whoever. Cynical yes, but as long as they beat the teams around us or those with fewer points, me a happy Eagle. And if two of our relegation rivals meet I always hope for a draw.

I'm looking at the fact that they should come and batter us so as long as they batter everyone else, we'll be no worse off than we are now

2-1 to City in a game where Sunderland get a lucky goal to equalise and City batter them the whole match but can't score.... ... But then in the 89th minute Sunderland 'score' their 8th own goal of the season to concede defeat.

Really can't see anything other than a City win. Tough until mid 2nd half then they will get a couple. 2-0 City

5 1. They need to start getting ready for next season asap a fast start is a must if Gus is to keep his job. As soon as they are down he can play next seasons players Fletcher could end up with us.

I couldn't agree more with the latter assessments here on a low scorer. CityBank is going to take this one either way but the final line depends on which version of Adam Johnson turns up tonight. I'm expecting 2-0 or 2-1.

Will be interesting to see how City cope with breaking a team down without Yaya Toure. Having said that, Sunderland's defence is hardly waterproof at the moment and Aguero is back ... Losing tonight would leave City 7 points adrift with 5 to go which doesn't seem impossible. However, with Cardiff and Fulham threatening to pick up a few more points they need to get some wins very quickly. Problem is they've lost their last 5 and their next 3 games - Chelsea A Ouch.
