There's a debate on Talksport at the moment as to whether Speroni should get an England call up as backup to Hart. Personally, I would love for him to be called up by Argentina - think he deserves it - but I can't see it happening. I'd be behind this. Thoughts?

If the rumours of Speroni's DVDs being watched by the Argentina boss are true, then it staggers me that he wasn't called upon in the last friendly. He SHOULD be number 1. The current Argentinian keepers both serve as backup keepers for their respective clubs in lesser leagues!

I think everyone is getting carried away. Jules is a great shot stopper, between him and Ambrose they kept us in business in 09/10 BUT, his command of his area whilst improving is still poor and his distribution is bloody awful. It's a shame as in an era where the word legend is bandied about all to easily, I thik he is a real Palace legend. He just isn't world class

He can't play for England anyway, due to the home nations agreement. The same went for Cudicini and Arteta, and also applies to Januzaj.

I had this same debate today actually, unbeknown to this. My mate was looking at his sun dream team stuff. I suggested we pick an England squad based solely on the dream team ratings. This is loosely what we got: Hart Walker Gerrard Sturridge Bench: The only goal keeper of note aside from Hart was Speroni, and pretty sure he had more points than Hart too.
