If results go to form by Monday night we will be back in the bottom three and Sunderland will still have a game in hand. West Ham are almost safe so may not be at full throttle. It will be a big test of character for our boys as we haven't been below the water line for some time now.

Some supporters will turn up and go "Pulis out" and "Chelsea were there for the taking"

Whatever happens this weekend will probably not define our season unless we produce a big shock. The next 2 games against Cardiff and Villa are more crucial in my opinion. 4 points from these is what we need to calm the nerves. Doesn't matter if we drop into the bottom 3, as long as we are not there on 11 May. COYP !!!!!

If we take less than 4 points in the next 3 games then I can't see us staying up.

It will be a "Hammer blow" psychologically if we slip into the bottom 3.

For a while I have consistently stated that we are not good enough to stay up and nothing recently has changed my mind.

Always warms my heart to hear Willo's negativity. It is rather akin, I would imagine, to going to bed with a beautiful lady and finding she has meat and two veg in her knickers.

I repeat "I would imagine" - I can promise you living here for over ten years and I have avoided making that mistake, long may that continue!!

As to the question, I do not think it will make the slightest bit of difference. TP will be pumping the lads up for the two games after Chelsea - they will not be phased until they are mathematically certain of either staying up or relegation.

Yes "Negativity" but I find it impossible to be positive in our situation given that we simply do NOT score enough goals.I like to think I am being realistic without "Rose tinted" glasses.I firmly believe that we will be relegated - sadly.

If the scenario set out above comes to fruition, it might be wise for those of a sensitive or nervous disposition to avoid Palace Talk for a while

Yes Willo, but you could keep your negativity to yourself - you do have that choice. Imagine if one of the lads in the squad thought that ? Would TP say 'fair enough mate, you're entitled to your opinion' ? I think not as it would affect morale. Its the same here for me Willo - you can choose whether to keep on and on and on and on relentlessly saying we will go down, or you could take a moment and think - 'yes everyone knows what I think because Ive said it so many times, I only really need to post an opinion on it if mine changes'

I don't like to hear it - negative opinions affect others Willo - maybe consider that rather than just your personal need to spout negativity.

So one is only allowed to post "Positive" comments on here ? "Negativity" is forbidden ?

All I am doing is expressing my honest opinion as to our chances of survival. I fully accept that it has become somewhat repetitive, however I just cannot expunge from my mind the thought that we will plummet through the dreaded relegation trapdoor. And by me re-iterating my thoughts I have certainly set myself up for a thwacking IF we somehow survive the drop - I have not hidden !

Anyway the sun is shining - I have finished on a "Positive" ! Now off to the game !

In which parallel Universe are Chelsea " There for the taking"?
This IS a park the bus game, the previous five weren't, in my opinion.

This is a proverbial David vs Goliath game, and we don't have a slingshot. Best move on to the next 7 games, starting with Cardiff next weekend.
